Finding Joy in each moment of life is the foundation of my coaching practice and can truly be simple. So many people struggle with feeling unhappy and unfulfilled and most feel it is unattainable now and for their future.
My coaching method, SPIRIT in Motion®, includes fast and effective life tools along with the practice of Qi-Gong, which changed my life and can change yours too.
Goals are not part of what I offer in my coaching. While goals can initially motivate a person, they can also lead to feelings of failure and disappointment, even shame.
What I discovered on my path is that the joy and juice in life really is in the journey, the day to day living, not the end goal.
For me that aha moment, and it was a biggie, created a positive shift in many aspects of my life including my Lifestyle and Movement practices. Instead of working on goals, I help you manifest your dream life; it is so much more fun, rewarding, and joyful.
Below I offer a gift of practices in four areas of life that you can do by yourself to begin to shift in to a state of Joy.
I break it down to four areas of life; the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I love simple, and it truly can be simple to let go of the unwanted and add in that which you desire, to move out the old energy and allow new and healthier energy in, we simply replace old with new. It's the circle of life; recycling, renewing, regenerating.
Your physical body requires a variety of self-care to maintain its true balance. Movement, food, water, hygiene, and touch. Write down a habit or something you think you have to do in your life that you really don't like to do and you know its not good for you, something you feel negatively affects your physicality and you'd like to remove it from your life. Just one thing.
Now think of something that you know you would really enjoy in the world of being physical, or taking care of your physical being. Maybe it's learning to make fresh juices, or maybe it's moving your body, dancing, or even taking a bath. Something you would actually look forward to. What is it for you? And write that down. (For me it's my Qigong or Gyrotonic practice, dancing, and floating in water.)
People have too many things in their lives that they think they have to do, the pattern is set and there's no way out, which is heavy, makes you unhappy, out of balance and it is far from the truth.
Can you commit to one thing this day, this week, or this month? Can you make it fun, not a goal? Can you not use will power but alignment of self. Can you use visualization, dreaming and journaling to set yourself up?

We live in a stressed out world. Notice I said stressed out not stressful. The truth is it doesn't have to be stressful but society, our culture, has created a monster and most people think it is normal and not changeable. This is not truth.
What can we do to get our emotions feeling balanced? People are craving peace, ease and joy. I hear it all the time, even daily.
Go to a blank page in your journal or a new piece of paper and just for 5 minutes we are going to write non stop.
First close your eyes and think about having three days all to yourself. 3 days where nothing needs to be done and nobody needs you for anything. Imagine that. Start to get in that zone and then open your eyes take your pen and starting writing starting with the following words..
I wake up in the morning and..... (keep writing non stop with your timer on for 5 minutes)
I want you to move through 3 days of whatever brings you the most joy, feelings of peace, and alignment with self.
The physical aspect of your life greatly affects your emotions. Nothing is separate, you are a whole being and the sum of all four aspects is the greatest factor in how you feel. For example exercise releases chemicals in the body that literally make you feel happier. Lingering baths instead of showers are calming and can help with sleep. These are just 2 examples. Every year that goes by you can add in energy that makes you feel good and let go of things that no longer serve you, and probably haven't served you in a long time.
The reason my coaching incorporates a Qigong practice is to bring some balance in to your BE-ing during our sessions. Movement moves old stagnant, dis-eased or negative energy out of the body leaving you with a clear and focused mind, a more open heart, more internal strength, better immunity and access to deeper breathing; which all bring forth an instant up-leveling of your emotional state and being with allows you to begin to attract new experiences and people of a higher vibration in to your life.
A key tool for balancing your emotional state is awareness. Being aware of how you’re feeling in any given moment is the key to being able to shift your thoughts and therefore your feelings. At the end of each day and just for awhile, it can be enlightening and transforming to use a journal and go back through your day. Note what changes you could’ve made in your thoughts, actions, and behaviors that would have you stay in that higher more positive state. Our life is the results of our thinking; a very powerful awareness.
As we think we feel, as we feel we do, and as we do, we become!
Connecting with another being can balance and improve our emotions, heck it can be very transforming. Talking, sharing, and uplifting is what I am talking about; that's connection. No gossiping, complaining and competing for whose problems are worse. You need your awareness to keep you out of that later sink hole. Awareness is key.
Here's a fun uplifting and super easy exercise, one you can do multiple times a daily. It is simply complimenting people. The random person that walks by, say wow I love your dress. The cashier at the check out, find something about them and say it. Maybe they have amazing eyes, a great shirt on, a great hair style, whatever it is watch people light up and in turn it shifts your emotions as well. Complimenting and other forms of helping others can be a source of deep internal joy.
Only allow positive influences and energy in! One way to say this is have clear boundaries for yourself and keep them. It is a way to honor yourself, love yourself, and stay in a high vibration.
Notice your thoughts and the words you choose. Be intentional. Stop negative talk. Focus on all there is to be grateful for. You will find this is more challenging when you are in the company of people that complain and are negative. It is easier for them to bring you down then it is to lift them up. But you can do it. It takes a lot of awareness and practice. Go for it! Lifting others up is awesome and at the same time be conscious that it is not at the expense of your own energy. This is a powerful awareness and practice to maintain.
Keep it simple and high vibe. Begin each day with inspirational readings. Day Dream often. Keep a gratitude journal by simply writing 3 things each morning and then read those things before bed; this is my favorite practice for a quick mental emotional energy shift. Let’s practice now… Write 3 things you are very grateful for and then sit for a moment with what you wrote and feel it. It’s a powerful shifting of energy practice. See my video and blog post called Gratitude is in Vogue for the full explanation of this exercise.
This is an area of life that really contributes greatly to the quality of life one will create, and the amount of joy you experience.
It’s a deep faith and connection to something greater inside of you and everywhere around you; the Universe, Source, God.
We are spiritual beings but we live in a human existence or experience and this causes conflicts for most people. What if you could learn to stay in alignment between the two? Well you can. This is the entire reason for my work, my passion, and my life experience. When in alignment between your spirit and yourself as a being you can go through your life, even have the same life you have now, but it will feel completely different. You can keep you same job, same partner, same location and just change your perception of it all.
The spirit living inside us perceives the world around us different than you do, the things that happen "to you" begin to happen "for you." This is just one perception shift that in and of itself is so powerful that on its own can have you going from stuck to curious or even excited.
